1st Experts Meeting and Workshop

May 17-18, 2011 - Raleigh, NC, USA

The next IEA Task 43 Experts Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 17th in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.  The full day Experts Meeting will take place at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.  Online Registration is required for the Experts Meeting & Workshop (see below).  A charge of $100 is requested for meals and refreshments for the May 17th Experts Meeting.
 
Also, on Wednesday, May 18th, a half-day workshop with U.S. industry, including testing laboratories, manufacturers and other stakeholders, will be held from 8:30 until noon to provide information and solicit input on Task 43 and related IEA SHC work.   The location of the half-day workshop is at the Raleigh Convention Center (room to be announced). Registration is required for the Wednesday Workshop, but attendance is free.
 
The meeting and workshop coincide with the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) Solar 2011 National Solar Conference, which will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center from May 17 to 21 (exhibits are open May 18th through 21st).  This conference includes the 40th Annual National Passive Solar Conference, the 6th Renewable Energy Policy, Advocacy and Marketing Conference and the 4th Annual Solar Success! training event.  We hope you’ll be able to attend the conference after the technical meeting and workshop, as well as enjoy springtime in North Carolina while sampling their most famous local cuisine, Carolina BBQ.  For ASES Conference registration information as well as links to local hotels visit the main ASES Conference web site.

Workshop Information

On Wednesday, May 18th, a half-day workshop with U.S. industry, including testing laboratories, manufacturers and other stakeholders, will be held from 8:30 until noon to provide information and solicit input on Task 43; Rating & Certification and related IEA SHC work.  This is an excellent opportunity to interact with international experts in the solar heating and cooling field to hear about the latest R&D in the US, Europe and elsewhere.
